Poor blog, I have taken you for granted! Let´s post some idioms:
to get carried away (with)- to do too much, to get too excited. Joan always gets carried away with buying birthday presents for her daughter. This year she bought ten presents!
to get over (something/ someone)- forget about something, stop, or make something that felt bad get better. After John broke up with Anna he was very sad. It took him almost one year to get over her.
to calm down- become calm or quiet after being excited, angry, or noisy. You children have been too noisy. It's time to calm down.
to feel down- feel sad or negative. Tony always feels down when it's raining outside. But he always feels better when the rain stops.
to feel up- feel happy or positive. I just got a promotion at work today. I really feel up about my future.
feel blue- feel sad. Jennifer usually feels a little blue on Sunday night. She knows she has to go back to school on Monday and her exciting weekend has finished.
to be down and out- be very discouraged or depressed, having no and no hope to get money. Larry hasn't worked for 6 months. He has no money and no hope. He is down and out.
